Our client, a major player in its sector, is embarking on one of the most ambitious modernization journeys in its industry. For years, a sprawling Adobe ColdFusion application with over 150,000 lines of code and 20 interconnected modules has powered critical operations. While robust, it has become a labyrinth of technical debt, limiting agility and innovation. Now, the organization is committed to a three-phase migration toward a future-proof low-code platform, leveraging AI, code analysis, and model-driven development. This is not just a rewrite; it is a strategic reinvention of how the business delivers value.
ACTIVITIES
As the Application Architect, you will be the technical compass for this transformation. Your days will involve designing the target architecture, defining development standards, and reviewing AI-generated components to ensure they meet enterprise-grade quality. You will conduct rigorous code reviews, mentor developers, and coach the team on modern engineering practices. You will also own the integration architecture, ensuring seamless connectivity between the new low-code platform and existing systems. Security design will be a constant companion, as you embed best practices from the first sprint. You will collaborate closely with functional analysts, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders to translate complex needs into elegant technical solutions.
EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Your leadership will result in a phased migration that retires the legacy monolith without disrupting operations. ENVIRONMENT
You will work within an Agile environment, using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git. The tech stack includes Adobe ColdFusion, Mendix (low-code), AI code analysis tools, and model-driven development frameworks. You will also engage with cloud services, API management, and security tooling. Methodologies include Scrum, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous delivery.
