Business Analyst

A business analysis and testing mission shaping digital permit services with clear requirements and reliable validation. You will bridge complex public-service rules and technical delivery while supporting sustainable IT solutions.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is redesigning the way permit applications are understood, modelled and tested. The digital service must translate complex urban planning and environmental rules into clear user journeys, robust functional requirements and reliable test coverage. The team needs a business analyst who can bridge business expectations and technical delivery while keeping an eye on the long-term sustainability of the IT solution.

ACTIVITIES

  • Clarify business needs with departmental teams and stakeholders, turning ambiguous expectations into structured analysis.
  • Model business processes, user journeys and functional expectations for dematerialised permit services.
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria and traceability links.
  • Support the testing team in drafting and executing test scenarios, including functional, regression and end-to-end checks.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, technical teams and business owners to keep scope and priorities aligned.
  • Ensure documentation and solution design choices support the sustainability and maintainability of the IT solution.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

The business analyst will reduce the gap between business intent and technical implementation, giving testers a clear basis for validation and giving project managers a reliable view of scope. The role should improve requirement quality, make testing more targeted and help the client sustain the solution long after the initial delivery.

ENVIRONMENT

The role sits in a public-service digital transformation context with complex business rules and multiple stakeholders. You will work with business process modelling, requirements management, test scenario design and collaboration tools, alongside project managers, departmental teams and technical specialists. Expect a structured, documentation-oriented environment that values clarity, traceability and close collaboration.
