Data Analyst
Map, model, and safeguard the data flows that keep an enterprise and its partners exchanging critical information with confidence. This Brussels-based hybrid role sits inside an integration layer team where analysis, documentation, and production follow-through directly shape platform reliability.
CONTEXT
Our client, a major player in its sector, depends on a complex enterprise integration layer to keep data moving between internal applications and external partners. Every exchange carries business meaning, and every poorly documented flow becomes a future incident waiting to happen. The organisation is therefore strengthening the team responsible for the perennial exchange of data, not only by building integrations but by understanding them deeply: which data moves, why it moves, who depends on it, and how changes will behave in production. This is a role for an analyst who likes to see the whole chain, from model to deployment to daily operations. Sitting with analysts, developers, testers, and architects, the Data Analyst will help turn a dense integration landscape into clear models, agreed changes, and reliable operational documentation. The mission is based in Brussels with a hybrid work model, placing the analyst close to the people who design, build, and operate the flows.
ACTIVITIES
- Analyse existing data exchanges and model current and future data flows within the enterprise integration layer.
- Propose additions or modifications to data models and flows based on business needs, technical constraints, and reliability risks.
- Communicate approved changes clearly to implementation teams, ensuring that developers, testers, and architects share the same understanding.
- Monitor deployments and follow up on issues that emerge when flows move from design into production.
- Handle the daily management of assigned flows or products, including questions, incidents, and small evolutions.
- Produce high-quality analysis deliverables and documentation that remain useful long after the initial delivery.
- Collaborate actively with analysts, developers, testers, and architects to improve the overall quality and stability of the integration layer.
EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
- Data flows that are clearly modelled, documented, and understood by both business and technical stakeholders.
- Fewer production surprises caused by unclear changes, missing dependencies, or incomplete documentation.
- Faster and safer impact analysis when a partner system, application, or business rule needs to evolve.
- Stronger collaboration between analysis, development, testing, and architecture teams.
- A more reliable integration layer that supports the organisation’s daily operations and partner relationships.
ENVIRONMENT
- Enterprise integration layer concepts, data flow modelling, and interface analysis.
- Relational data concepts, mapping documents, functional analysis, and operational documentation.
- Collaboration with developers, testers, architects, and business analysts in a hybrid working model.
- Agile and service-management practices around incidents, changes, and continuous improvement.
- Brussels-based hybrid environment with a strong emphasis on clarity, traceability, and production reliability.
