Data Governance Manager
Drive the adoption of data governance and non-functional requirements across corporate projects and product lifecycles. Become the trusted bridge between compliance, risk, and data management in a high-stakes transformation.
CONTEXT
Our client, a major player in its sector, is accelerating its data-driven transformation. Product teams and corporate projects are generating and consuming more data than ever, but governance, compliance, risk, and non-functional requirements are often treated as afterthoughts. The organization has decided to embed data governance into the very fabric of every project and product lifecycle, creating a new role to guide Product Managers and corporate stakeholders. This is not a policing mission; it is a mission to make governance practical, scalable, and value-adding.

- Translate regulatory, compliance, and risk expectations into actionable governance requirements for product and project teams.
- Facilitate workshops, impact assessments, and design reviews to ensure data management considerations are addressed.
- Maintain governance registers, decision logs, and adoption dashboards to track progress and maturity.
- Advise on data quality, lineage, retention, access, and privacy controls in collaboration with legal, risk, and security teams.
- Support corporate projects by providing templates, guardrails, and best practices for data governance.
- Monitor adoption, identify gaps, and propose remediation plans to steering committees.
