Our client is building a modern data warehouse to support business intelligence and analytics, and needs a Senior Data Warehouse Developer for a 10-month hybrid mission in Mechelen. You will model data, design ETL pipelines, and deliver reliable BI solutions using Datastage, Cognos, and Agile practices.

Its current reporting landscape is fragmented, with data spread across multiple systems and manual processes slowing down insight delivery. A new data warehouse initiative aims to centralize data, improve quality, and provide a reliable single source of truth for business intelligence. The Senior Data Warehouse Developer will join a hybrid team in Mechelen for a 10-month mission, building the foundation for scalable analytics and trusted reporting.
ACTIVITIES
- Design and model dimensional data warehouse schemas that support complex analytical needs.
- Develop, test, and maintain ETL jobs using Datastage.
- Create and optimize BI reports and dashboards using Cognos.
- Work with relational databases to ensure performance, integrity, and scalability.
- Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document technical designs, data mappings, and operational procedures.
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and optimize existing data pipelines.
- Support testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data warehouse development standards.
