IT Contract Manager

A senior IT procurement mission centered on intellectual services contracts, service-center dynamics, and end-to-end contract management. The role needs a bilingual negotiator who can bring structure, commercial judgment, and legal fluency to a complex technology sourcing landscape.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is rethinking how it buys intellectual services and how it governs the contracts that support its technology estate. The procurement function is under pressure to move faster without losing control, especially where service centers, global suppliers, and multi-country stakeholders are involved. This mission focuses on the intersection of IT procurement and contract management: a place where commercial intent, legal language, delivery obligations, and service levels must all line up. The right professional will not simply administer contracts; they will help the organization buy with more confidence and manage technology relationships with far greater clarity.

ACTIVITIES

  • Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle for IT intellectual services, from drafting and negotiation through signature, renewal, and closure.
  • Partner with procurement colleagues, legal teams, service centers, and business owners to translate technology needs into balanced contractual terms.
  • Review and challenge supplier proposals, service levels, change mechanisms, liabilities, and intellectual property provisions.
  • Maintain contract repositories, renewal calendars, and obligation trackers so that commitments are visible and actionable.
  • Support sourcing waves and procurement P2I activities with commercial analysis and contract expertise.
  • Communicate fluently in English with international stakeholders and escalate risks with clear, pragmatic recommendations.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Establish a reliable contract management routine for a portfolio of IT intellectual services agreements.
  • Reduce contractual ambiguity, renewal surprises, and value leakage by making obligations and deadlines visible.
  • Strengthen negotiation outcomes while preserving productive supplier relationships.
  • Give business and procurement leaders a clearer view of contractual risk and commercial opportunity.

ENVIRONMENT

  • IT procurement and contract management context with a strong service-center dimension.
  • Contract lifecycle management, procurement P2I processes, supplier governance, and commercial analysis.
  • Tools and methods for repository management, renewal tracking, obligation monitoring, and reporting.
  • International English-speaking collaboration with legal, procurement, technology, and business teams.
  • Senior buyer mindset: fluent English, intellectual services expertise, and the ability to operate across legal and commercial detail.
