IT Project Manager
Lead a high-visibility SharePoint and intranet transformation that will reshape how a large organization collaborates and shares knowledge. This role blends project management, change management, and hands-on problem solving to deliver a platform people actually use.
CONTEXT
Our client, a major player in its sector, is a public-facing organization where information must flow securely, quickly, and intuitively across many teams and locations. Years of accumulated documents, legacy intranet pages, and fragmented collaboration habits have created friction. The organization has committed to a bold digital workplace transformation: migrating to SharePoint and launching a new intranet that becomes the digital front door for employees. This is a high-visibility program with real operational impact. The Senior ICT Project Manager will be the bridge between strategic intent and daily reality, guiding stakeholders, supporting operational teams, and ensuring that the new platform is not just delivered, but adopted.
ACTIVITIES
- Own the end-to-end project management of the SharePoint migration and new intranet, from scope definition to go-live and hypercare.
- Define project objectives, success metrics, milestones, and governance in collaboration with business and ICT leadership.
- Manage stakeholders across departments, facilitating workshops, status updates, and decision-making forums.
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and operational champions to ensure smooth migration and minimal disruption.
- Take a hands-on approach to project challenges, proactively removing blockers and adapting plans when reality changes.
- Support operational teams through change management, training, and communication materials that make the new tools feel natural.
- Ensure information architecture, permissions, and content governance are designed for long-term maintainability.
- Monitor risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines, escalating when necessary with clear recommendations.
- Foster a culture of creativity and flexibility, finding pragmatic solutions that balance user needs with technical constraints.
EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
- Successfully migrate critical content and collaboration spaces to SharePoint with high data integrity and minimal business interruption.
- Launch a new intranet that becomes the trusted, daily destination for company news, tools, and knowledge.
- Achieve strong adoption across operational teams, measured by usage, satisfaction, and reduced support requests.
- Establish clear governance so the platform remains organized, secure, and scalable after the project ends.
