Power BI Developer

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is entering a decisive phase of its data journey. After years of scattered reports and manually maintained spreadsheets, leadership has launched a programme to turn Microsoft Power BI, Fabric and Azure into a single, trusted decision layer for finance, operations and commercial teams. The Power BI Developer will join a senior BI squad in Brussels, working on site up to five days per week, to transform raw business questions into clear, governed and visually compelling analytics products. This is not a report factory role: it is a chance to shape how the organisation measures performance and tells its story with data.

ACTIVITIES

• Design and build robust Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards and paginated reports that answer real business questions.
• Work with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services to connect, model and expose reliable data for analytics.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data models and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Optimise existing reports for performance, usability, accessibility and maintainability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, refine backlog items and collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business owners.
• Document models, data flows, refresh processes and governance rules so the BI platform remains understandable and scalable.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

• Deliver a coherent portfolio of Power BI products that replaces fragmented reporting and becomes a reference for decision-making.
• Establish reliable semantic models and reusable data assets that reduce time to insight across teams.
• Raise the quality bar for performance, documentation and governance of BI solutions.
• Help business users adopt self-service analytics with confidence while preserving trust in certified data.
