Project Management Officer

Steer a high-stakes Anti-Money Laundering program by keeping multiple workstreams aligned, risks visible, and commitments on track. Act as the operational compass for stakeholders who must deliver regulatory change with precision and speed.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, has launched a high-priority Anti-Money Laundering program that touches every part of its operations. Regulatory expectations are rising, criminal techniques are evolving, and the organization must prove that its controls are robust, traceable, and efficient. Multiple workstreams are running in parallel, from detection logic and alert triage to data remediation and reporting. Without a strong PMO, the program risks losing momentum, visibility, and alignment. This role is the operational compass for a transformation where every deliverable matters.

ACTIVITIES

  • Coordinate stakeholders across compliance, operations, IT, data, and external partners.
  • Track deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and commitments across multiple workstreams.
  • Maintain RAID logs, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies are visible and actively managed.
  • Prepare governance materials, status reports, dashboards, and steering committee packs.
  • Challenge timelines and delivery assumptions to ensure commitments are realistic and met.
  • Facilitate workshops, follow-ups, and decision-making forums to unblock teams.
  • Ensure traceability between regulatory requirements, functional solutions, and delivery outcomes.

  • A transparent, real-time view of program progress for senior leadership.
  • Reduced delivery risk through proactive RAID management and dependency tracking.
  • On-time delivery of AML commitments across all workstreams.
  • Stronger coordination between business, compliance, and technology teams.
  • A repeatable PMO operating model that can support future regulatory programs.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Anti-Money Laundering, financial crime compliance, and regulatory program delivery.
  • Project management and PMO tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
  • RAID logs, governance reporting, stakeholder management, and hybrid delivery models.
  • Based in Brussels, with a hybrid work environment that balances on-site collaboration and remote focus.
