SAP BW/4HANA Consultant

Our client is seeking a SAP BW/4HANA expert to guide a BI landscape through a complex migration without losing sight of business value. You will connect legacy data models, modern SAP analytics and Power BI reporting while working fluently across Dutch, French and English.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is modernising a BI and data analytics landscape where SAP BW and BW/4HANA models have supported critical reporting for years. The organisation now faces a migration path that must respect legacy logic, governance, performance and user adoption. Some data journeys will move to SAP BW/4HANA, Datasphere or Embedded Analytics; others may connect to Azure BI or Power BI. The challenge is not a lift-and-shift. It is a careful translation of business meaning from old models into a future-proof analytics platform, with Dutch, French and English stakeholders all needing clarity. The SAP BW/4HANA expert will act as a bridge between data engineering, business reporting and migration strategy, ensuring the new platform is technically sound and genuinely used.

ACTIVITIES

  • Analyse existing SAP BW and BW/4HANA data models, flows and reporting dependencies.
  • Design and support migration paths to SAP BW/4HANA, Datasphere, Embedded Analytics or Azure BI solutions.
  • Build and optimise BI objects, queries and reporting layers in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Work with Microsoft Power BI and SAP analytics tools to connect legacy and modern reporting.
  • Apply Agile methodologies, document decisions and communicate progress across multilingual teams.
  • Troubleshoot performance, data quality and model consistency issues during migration.
