SAP BW Consultant

Guide a high-visibility SAP BW and BW/4HANA migration while keeping reporting reliable for business users. You will combine deep BI expertise with Agile delivery to modernise data flows, reporting layers, and analytics experiences.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is preparing a BI and reporting migration that must modernise the analytics backbone without disrupting the decisions that depend on it. The organisation works with a mature SAP BW landscape and is moving toward SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and Microsoft Power BI, creating a need for an expert who can connect legacy understanding with modern data and reporting practice. This is a twelve-month mission in Brussels where technical depth, Agile collaboration, and business empathy will be equally important.

ACTIVITIES

  • Lead and support the migration of SAP BW and SAP BW/4HANA objects, flows, and reporting models.
  • Analyse existing BI requirements and translate them into robust, maintainable SAP data solutions.
  • Work with SAP Datasphere and Microsoft Power BI to modernise reporting and analytics delivery.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, and Agile ceremonies to prioritise and deliver migration increments.
  • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, performance issues, and reporting gaps during the transition.
  • Document models, migration decisions, and operational guidance for future support.
  • Share expert knowledge with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement of BI practices.

The role will help the organisation migrate with confidence rather than disruption. You will preserve trust in critical reporting while unlocking the performance, scalability, and modern analytics capabilities of the target landscape. Expected achievements include cleaner SAP BW/4HANA models, well-governed data flows into SAP Datasphere, reliable Power BI reporting, and a smoother transition for business users who depend on timely, accurate insight.

ENVIRONMENT

The environment includes SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Power BI, and Agile delivery practices. You will work in Brussels for an initial twelve-month engagement, within a BI and reporting programme that values senior expertise, collaborative delivery, and practical problem-solving. The role is ideal for a consultant with at least five years of SAP BI experience who can navigate both legacy SAP BW complexity and modern analytics tooling.
