CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is undertaking an SAP S/4HANA journey where master data is both the foundation and the risk. Business partners, customer records, vendor information, and financial dimensions have accumulated years of inconsistencies, duplicates, and local variations. The organization needs a specialist who can turn this complexity into a structured migration story: mapping specifications that make sense, workshops that align business and IT, and ETL pipelines that move data without losing meaning. The role is on-site in Brussels, where Dutch, French, and English weave through daily collaboration, and where precision in master data directly affects invoicing, reporting, compliance, and customer trust.

ACTIVITIES

  • Create and validate mapping specifications between legacy systems and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to clarify data requirements.
  • Manage ETL processes for extracting, transforming, cleansing, and loading master data.
  • Focus on SAP Business Partners and related master data objects.
  • Define data quality rules, perform profiling, and resolve duplicates or inconsistencies.
  • Coordinate with functional consultants, developers, and data owners during migration cycles.
  • Document migration decisions, issue logs, and validation results.
  • Support cutover planning, dry runs, and post-migration reconciliation.
