CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is a critical infrastructure provider that ensures essential services for millions. They are currently embarking on a monumental digital transformation journey, migrating their core business processes to SAP S/4HANA – the cutting-edge enterprise resource planning suite. Central to this transformation is the enhancement and optimization of their invoicing capabilities, a crucial function that impacts revenue generation, customer satisfaction, and overall financial health. This project isn't just about technical migration; it's about reimagining how they manage their financial flows, ensuring precision, compliance, and scalability. They seek an experienced SAP consultant to play a pivotal role in shaping this future, specifically within their 'Transform & Digital' department, where innovation meets operational excellence.

ACTIVITIES

• Conduct in-depth functional and technical analyses for the further setup and optimization of invoicing processes within SAP S/4HANA, specifically focusing on FI/CO (Financial Accounting/Controlling) and FICA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable) modules.
• Design and implement configurations in SAP S/4HANA to meet complex business requirements, ensuring seamless integration with other modules, particularly SD (Sales and Distribution).
• Actively participate in both evolutionary projects, driving new functionalities and improvements, and corrective maintenance projects, ensuring system stability and data integrity.
• Develop comprehensive functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for solution development and integration efforts.
• Coordinate and execute rigorous testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) to validate solutions, identify defects, and ensure high-quality deployments.
• Maintain up-to-date and thorough documentation for all configurations, processes, and solutions, ensuring knowledge transfer and system transparency.
• Provide expert support, troubleshooting, and resolution for incident tickets related to financial management applications.
• Advise business users on best practices and optimal utilization of SAP S/4HANA functionalities for invoicing and financial processes.

The primary environment is SAP S/4HANA, with a strong emphasis on FI/CO and FICA modules, alongside integration points with SAP SD. The team follows a blend of project methodologies, potentially incorporating elements of Agile for evolutionary development and ITIL for support processes. Tools include standard SAP configuration interfaces, solution manager for documentation, and various testing tools. A deep understanding of financial processes and utility sector specifics will be highly beneficial.
