Senior .NET Tech Lead

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, has reached the point where its original business platform is no longer enough. The organisation is scaling quickly, the product surface is expanding, and the engineering team needs a senior technical anchor who can bring structure without slowing delivery. This is not a pure management role and it is not a isolated coding role: it is a hands-on tech-lead mission at the intersection of architecture, quality, coaching, and business translation. The platform must remain maintainable under pressure, integrate cleanly with modern Azure services, and support an AI-native way of working where engineers use intelligent tooling to accelerate analysis, testing, and delivery without sacrificing rigour. The client is assembling a small group of senior builders and problem-solvers who can make pragmatic decisions, challenge unclear requirements, and keep the codebase healthy as the product grows.

ACTIVITIES

• Work closely with business stakeholders and product owners to translate ambitious requirements into technical specifications, delivery slices, and realistic engineering plans.
• Lead the design of .NET and Azure solutions with a strong focus on scalability, observability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Stay hands-on by writing and reviewing code, unblocking developers, and setting the technical standard through examples rather than slide decks.
• Strengthen code quality through reviews, automated tests, static analysis, and clear engineering guidelines.
• Coach developers and tech analysts through pairing, design discussions, and constructive feedback that raises the overall level of the team.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies and help the team balance delivery pace, technical debt, and architectural direction.
• Identify risks early, propose alternatives, and make sure the platform can evolve without accumulating hidden complexity.
