Our client, De Lijn, a major player in its sector, is embarking on an ambitious journey to modernize its entire ticketing ecosystem, moving towards an innovative Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) model. This strategic shift requires a robust and flexible backend, powered by SAP BRIM and S/4HANA. As a Senior SAP BRIM ABAP Developer, you will be a pivotal architect in this evolution, designing and implementing the custom solutions that make this vision a reality. Your work will directly impact the daily lives of commuters, contributing to a more seamless, efficient, and user-friendly transport network, while navigating the complexities of integrating modern technology with existing infrastructure and stringent data privacy requirements.

ACTIVITIES

  • Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP programs and functionalities within SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) and SAP S/4HANA to support the new Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) system.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces for integrating SAP BRIM with external ticketing devices, payment gateways, and other operational systems.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization for ABAP developments, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and development to testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) in all developments involving personal data within ICT backend systems.
