Senior SAP SuccessFactors Solution Architect

Shape a long-term HR technology roadmap by architecting SAP HCM and SuccessFactors solutions that integrate seamlessly across a complex enterprise. This advisory-heavy mission calls for a senior architect who can influence business stakeholders, guide extensibility, and keep identity and integration foundations robust.

CONTEXT

Our client, a major player in its sector, is entering a long-term HR technology transformation that must balance a substantial SAP HCM heritage with the modern capabilities of SAP SuccessFactors. The landscape is complex: core HR processes depend on deeply established systems, while the business wants more agility, better employee experience, and cleaner integration across a growing application portfolio. The HR Business Relationship Manager needs a senior architecture partner who can advise rather than simply execute, someone capable of seeing the whole landscape and turning business expectations into a coherent technical roadmap. This is a multi-year mission with a strong advisory dimension, where decisions about extensibility, integration, and identity will shape the organisation for years. The successful architect will help the client evolve without breaking critical processes, navigating the tension between standardisation and specific business needs with confidence and diplomacy.

ACTIVITIES

  • Advise the HR Business Relationship Manager and senior stakeholders on SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors architecture, roadmap, and target-state decisions.
  • Define and guide integration patterns between HR systems and the wider enterprise landscape, including modern SAP BTP-based integration approaches.
  • Assess SuccessFactors extensibility options and SAP HCM extensibility, with particular attention to Fiori applications and user-facing enhancements.
  • Provide architectural direction for identity and access management topics so that HR data and applications remain secure and compliant.
  • Challenge non-standard requirements, propose sustainable alternatives, and ensure that customisations do not undermine future upgrades.
  • Produce architecture documentation, decision records, and roadmaps that connect business priorities to technical delivery.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams, internal architects, and business representatives to keep design and execution aligned over the full programme.

EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • A clear and durable SAP HR target architecture that supports the organisation for the next five years and beyond.
  • Reduced integration friction between SuccessFactors, SAP HCM, and surrounding enterprise systems.
  • Reusable extensibility and integration patterns that improve delivery speed while protecting upgrade paths.
  • Stronger identity and access foundations around HR applications and sensitive employee data.
  • Business stakeholders equipped with a realistic, well-argued roadmap instead of a collection of disconnected technical requests.

ENVIRONMENT

  • SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM across a complex enterprise HR landscape.
  • SAP BTP for integration and extension scenarios.
  • Fiori applications, identity and access management, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Architecture governance, documentation, stakeholder advisory, and long-term roadmap planning.
  • A multi-year programme context with senior business exposure and a strong need for pragmatic, standards-oriented decision-making.
